• The dry waste recovery system installed in a manufacturing facility is for the benefits of feeding the wastes in acceptable particle sizes back to the production instead of dumping them as garbage. Since the sizes of the wastes are too big for feeding back to production as is, they must be crushed to the desired sized and then further refined to accepted particle size to mix with other feeds to the production line. The system is designed and built to meet the required waste tonnage, required accepted particle sizes and the operating conditions.
• The waste material in board forms or in big lumps on a pallet are lifted by a forklift onto the elevated loading platform.
• The waste material will be placed manually onto the roller or belt conveyor. The waste material will be transported to the shredder, and crushed into small particle sizes. The shredder is a rugged machine with knives to crush the waste material. The selection of the shredder depends on the tonnage output and type of waste material. Under the shredder outlet is the screw conveyor, that is to transport wastes to a bucket elevator. The wastes are then transported to a hopper. This hopper will be emptied with a vibrating feeder onto a belt conveyor ahead of a belt scale. The weight measured by the belt scale is sent back to the control center. It the accepted particle need to even small sizes, other equipment must be installed to accept the accepte particle and then process them to the final shaped or sizes. In the case of the rejected fiber cement boards, a ball mill can be considered to process the particle into fine dusts.
